Our team is in the Delta Hotel this weekend working away at the Secondary School model united nations that IRSAM puts together. Its a long weekend of interviews, green-screening, editing and tomfoolery.

Want to get involved in TVMcGill? Intimidated by the amount of technical expertise you think you might need to get started? Start your semester off right by going to any and all workshops at this year’s Workshop Week, where we’ll give you all the skills you’ll need to plan shoots, film an event or scene and edit them to perfection. Take a look at our offerings:

MONDAY JANUARY 16 :
LIGHTING [2pm-3pm] in room B-30 SSMU building with Amy and Jon
Cameras need a lot more light than we do to see!
Learn and go through the tips and tricks on how to best light a set.
CAMERA [3pm-4pm] in room B-30 SSMU building with Ines and Sarah
So you want to start filming?
Learn and go through the camera basics and explore all you need to know to film your piece.
TUESDAY JANUARY 17 :
SOUND [4pm-5pm] in room B30 or (B29) in SSMU building with Jenny and Chelsea
Want to know how to produce the best sound on your piece?
Learn and go through the methods and equipment to produce crystal clear audio!
