This Year’s Theme
The theme for this year’s festival, Time Travel, highlights the the ability of film to treasure and rescue memories, adventures, and landmark moments and figures of history. 72 Hours Filmmaking Competition:
This 3-day creative challenge consists of groups of student filmmakers who write, shoot, and edit a short film from scratch over a 72-hour period. The competition begins after teams are given a ~*secret element*~ that must be included in each film’s plot, narrative, visuals, or other cinematic components.
The element will be revealed at our orientation event that will take place on Thursday, March 19th at 5:30 pm. After that, you have 72 hours to complete and submit your short film before 5:30 on Sunday the 23rd!
Each filmmaking team must consist of at least one McGill student. If you don’t have a full team but still want to be part of the competition, shoot an email to us at 72HR2015@gmail.com and we’ll set you up with some other free agents so everyone has the chance to participants!
