1. What is TVMcGill

2. Where does TVMcGill Broadcast?
Beside the fact that it is super hip to be running online á la YouTube, airing online is more affordable, more organized, and more accessible to our audiences than running anywhere else. We do appear on televisions around the Shatner building and are always looking for new places to broadcast our stuff (so feel free to let us know your ides!). In the mean time…no schedule need be memorized, no reception to worry about…just fast, easy, accessible entertainment starring YOU!


3. How can I get involved
Stop in to any of our weekly Tuesday night meetings at 6pm in the Lev Buhkman conference room in Shatner. Or stop by our office in the basement of Shatner across from Gert’s. Check out our Office Hours list (accessible at the bottom of the page and outside our office) to make sure you can speak with an exec who will help you get connected!


4. What sort of things can I do for TVMcGill?
There are four positions required for a story: producer, host, camera, and editor. Producers organize and coordinate stories. Hosts do research and come up with questions for the interview. He/she is the on-camera personality. The camera crew films, and runs light and sound. Editors use Adobe Premiere or FinalCut Pro make footage into something beautiful! You can do any or all of these positions, whether or not you have any former experience!


5. How do I pick what stories I cover?
At the meetings the executive Arts, News, Features, and Series producers will present their plans for the week and let everyone know what positions they need filled. When you hear a story you are interested in, let them know. New members can tag along on one just to get a feel for TVMcGill.
