TVMcGill, broadcast throughout Montreal campuses, online, and on
cable television is the university's only outlet for student filmmakers
and producers. Succeeding its role as a movie-making club throughout
the '90s, TVMcGill was officially founded in 2001 as a media service.
The organization has grown impressively over the past six years,
acquiring a reputation for in-depth news coverage and innovative,
exciting new programming. Winners of the 2003 and 2006 Service of
the Year Award, as well as the 2005 Website of the Year Award, TVMcGill
has garnered numerous accolades for its work.
TVMcGill is an independently, student run Television station that
aims to become an intricate part of the McGill community. We, at TVMcGill,
work hard to provide entertainment and news for the McGill community.
These are our objectives:
This Year, TVMcGill has also added a new department to its service: Features. The Features department of TVMcGill will concentrate on producing high-quality fiction work and act as hub for aspiring filmmakers at McGill. By the end of the year, some of the work completed by Features will be showcased in TVMcGill's annual FOKUS Film Festival along with other works by McGill students.
