What does it mean to be francophone at McGill, English-speaking university whose history has often been conflictual with Quebec’s “French fact”. Throughout the interviews of many actors of this “French fact” on campus, the documentary, shot during the Winter term of 2011, tells the experience of these students and professors who want to live and integrate themselves into the community but who also wish to preserve their francophone identity. It is this fascinating dilemma that “Being francophone” tries to depict, by showing that the “two solitudes” are indeed real, but not necessarily antagonistic.

Informative and intelligent. Interesting choice of setting for the interviews. Beautiful shots of McGill campus.
Clearly, you’ve worked really hard on this video and have taken very delicate and sensitive care of the editing.
great job!
I have a Toughy 5 1/2 Rod that is in good condition. However the cork hnadle is worn and needs replaced. Can you inform me where to get the cork sleeve that corresponds to the product so that I might be able to keep it in its original design. Keith 360-533-1185
