Hi TVMcGill world,

This week the Daily Publications Society (McGill Daily + le delit) are hosting their annual Student Journalism Week and they’ve tapped TVMcGill to help out. As you’re well aware, there is no journalism school at McGill and only one video production course is offered each year. This is where events like Student Journalism Week are super important/awesome. The Daily/Delit has teamed with Journalists for Human Rights, Media@McGill and CAPS to invite journalists, professors and experts so students can get an idea about the ins and outs of journalism.

TVMcGill is super excited to be apart of Student Journalism week again this year and will be hosting an Introduction to Final Cut Pro editing workshop Thursday, November 4th at 6pm in the TVMcGill office. This workshop will focus on final cut basics, but also effective journalistic editing (think intense fade to blacks, serif fonts, passionate instrumentals and shot-reverse-shot interviews). So please stop by and say hi and support Student Journalism Week.

More details can be found at www.mcgilldaily.com/journalismweek

Also if you have a moment check out http://media.mcgill.ca perhaps the awesomest research group on campus.

See you on Thursday!!!
