- Bill Clinton and Barack Obama will both be attending CGI 2010
Every so often TVMcGill has the opportunity to embark upon adventures outside of the McGill bubble, to explore, from your perspective, the world outside of Montreal and bring light to issues, concerns, and amazing events that are relevant to our fellow students. In years past we have travelled to cities around Canada, such as the Tar Sands protests in Ottawa last year, as well as the United States, most recently for the 2008 presidential elections.
This year we have been lucky enough to be invited, through one of our alums, to attend the Clinton Global Initiative Conference in New York City. From today, September 20th, until Thursday the 23rd we will be among world leaders as they discuss issues ranging from education reform to sustainable development, from Middle East peace talks to the future of micro-financing. And we will be bringing this all to you through the channel we (and we hope you) know best: TVMcGill.com. Stay tuned for pictures from the conference, interviews from world renowned and world famous individuals (including, hopefully, several Canadian politicians and celebrities in attendance), blog posts updating you on the going on, a possible live-stream, and general information from this event. A complete list of interviews and a schedule of talks we will attend will be posted soon; connect to us through Facebook and you may have an opportunity to have your question answered by a world leader in the field you’re interested in!
The nine hour drive down was tough. As was the 7am wake-up call. But Charly, Meg, and I are doing this all for you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we will.
All the best,
Arthur Cormon

Congrats team. I left you a message on fb as well but let me know if I can possibly help to connect you with someone in the Press Room who is responsible for connecting journalists to attendees & scheduling the interviews. Enjoy, can’t wait to see what you guys produce! – Naomi
